Eli’s Cheesecake – A True Taste Of Chicago Goodness! (Giveaway)

Growing up in the Suburbs of Chicago and living here my entire adult life it has become apparent to me, that when I think of Cheesecake I immediately associate it with Eli’s. I love , always have, and have now passed down my love ( obsession) with my children. Chicago is known for it’s many delicious foods, from Pizza to Hot dogs and one of my most favorites Cheesecake.  Yes I am a self admitted Cheesecake snob and Eli’s Cheesecake feeds the craving I have for the best tasting around.  Eli Schulman a man from the West side of Chicago, having owned a few places he opened Elis the place for Steaks, following up on a suggestion from one of his guests ( which included a vast amount of celebrities) he spent several weeks developing the perfect recipe  Eli’s Cheesecake was born and placed as a part of their dessert menu.

Since then they have been a huge part of Chicago’s history participating in countless Taste of Chicago festivals and participating in various birthdays of presidents and celebrities. This year Eli’s cheesecake will be celebrating their 35th Anniversary and after all of that time you learn you can’t go wrong with Eli’s!

While they may have started with the Original Cheesecake they have branched out to having tons of mouth-watering varieties including a fantastic seasonal assortment perfect for any occasion!! Recently I was sent over their Vanilla Bean Cheesecake to review and basically feed the cravings of the little cheesecake monsters!!

“Eli’s takes vanilla cheesecake to the next level by infusing rich, creamy cheesecake batter with Nielsen-Massey single source Madagascar vanilla bean paste. Baked in a fluted vanilla crumb crust and topped with house-made vanilla pastry cream, swirls of vanilla mousse and a sprinkling of vanilla crumb around the edge, this classic dessert is elevated to VIP status.”

To say we enjoyed the cheesecake just wouldn’t do it justice. Vanilla Bean is a favorite of mine and there are many ways it can turn out badly. Not in this case every bite was delicious and has the perfect amount of vanilla bean not leaving you overwhelmed or upset that there wasn’t enough. My kids.. well they devoured every piece I have given them and Matthew ( My true cheesecake critic) calls the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake from Eli’s one of his favorites EVER!!!
Want a taste of Chicago Cheesecake in your home? Eli’s Cheesecake is generously offering one of my readers the same Vanilla Bean Cheesecake that I got to review! And my friend Lindsay over at See Mom Click is reviewing and giving away the Eli’s Cheesecake Tira Mi Su Cake. So…. we’ve teamed up to make this a two-winner giveaway. omg, it’s so hard to decide! It made me a bit hungry, but after thinking about it, the burnt caramel flan! I love flan!

  3. Sharon Rooney says

If I have to choose just one it would be the Totally Turtle Cheesecake but what I really would like to try is the Dream Team Sampler, it gives me a lot to try.

  4. Megan B. says

I have to go with The vanilla bean. I’m pretty simple when it comes to cheesecake. If anyone ever finds themselves in Chicago the Eli’s Cheesecake Factory tour is pretty interesting and fun. Plus it’s FREE and you get FREE CHEESECAKE!! I have been to Chicago many many times and on one of my last trips went there for something new to do besides the same old same old touristy things.

  6. angie pruden says

oh wow, tough choice they all sound great! I’d have to go with the belgium chocolate hazelnut, but I wouldn’t turn any of them down :D :D

  7. Cassandra Janda says

I would love to try the Double Chocolate Cheesecake made with Ghirardelli® Chocolate and the
    Chocolate Espresso Cheesecake

  8. Melissa says

Wow… I would not turn my nose up at any of them. If I had to pick just one, I think the Honey Mediterranean Cheesecake with Toasted Pistachios and Almonds sounds amazing & so different than anything I’ve tried before. And the story behind it- like how the honey is harvested by high school students-makes it even better!
