Monsters University Premiere And Freshman Rush Tail Gate Party

**I received an all expensive paid trip from Disney to attend the Monsters University and Planes events. However, all opinions are 100% my own.**

Just getting home from attending the Monsters University premiere and it still feels like a whirlwind experience. The fun and magical experiences we had were truly priceless, planned perfectly, and of course sprinkled with tons of pixie dust! The morning of, as I got ready I felt like I was getting ready for the first day of school, you know the combination of nerves and excitement. As I boarded my plane to sunny California the anticipation of seeing old friends and meeting new ones was climbing almost faster than the plane I was on. It is always amazing to me how 25 people can quickly become great friends when sharing the magic that comes from an event like this.

I arrived in California and quickly met up with a few of my classmates and we were off to the Sheraton in Universal City to get ready for one monster of a party!! We all met in the lobby wearing our school colors of Royal Blue and White and soon we were on our way! When we arrived on Hollywood Blvd the school spirit from both the crowd (who was patiently waiting to see who would be attending) and the students was absolutely contagious!

Walking into the tailgate party we were instantly greeted by the Monsters University marching band and cheerleading squad ready to entertain and get the school spirit roaring!

This family friendly premiere party was lacking nothing!! There was a fantastic assortment of foods to choose from many different places everything Subway Sub Sandwiches to Cupcakes you really couldn’t go wrong…. oh and did I mention the candy buffet?

This premiere was a fantastic opportunity for the many celebrities to bring their children and have some fun on the many activities that were there for all to enjoy. Of course I snapped as many pictures as I could either of or with some of the celebs that I encountered.

Eager and busting with school pride we all walked into the El Capitan theater ready to see Monsters University!!

With a final cheer from our squad and a burst of confetti it was finally time!!

Want to see more pictures from the party? Check out this fun collage I created with Disney’s Story app!!

Make sure to go see Monsters University when it opens tomorrow June 21st!!
